Meet the team behind Actain's

next-generation technology

Toryn Thompson

Founder/Designer

As a machine learning engineer and activist for several causes, I strive to employ new technologies in neglected areas. Actain is just one way this can be done. After setting up the computer for a vision- and motor-impaired friend of mine, I realized that contemporary technology has come a long way in terms of accesability; yet, the support across programs has not. I saw a unique, new oppurtunity to employ recent AI advances to aid such individuals, created Actain, and now work with my team to make the best accesability software possible. We hope to aid millions of users while simultaneously advocating for universal accesability support.

Sanaa Karkera

Head Engineer

From a young age, I've been driven by a passion for furthering transformative problems and pioneering innovative solutions using technology. Witnessing the frustrations of navigating difficult conditions firsthand - which were often overlooked - inspired efforts to bridge this gap and empower individuals with motor impairments, the foundation of Actain. This journey led me to explore the intersection of technology and accessibility, driving the efforts to create impactful, reliable solutions aimed at making a tangible difference in people's lives. Guided by a commitment to inclusivity and social responsibility, working towards creating a future where accessibility does not come at a cost is essential, fostering an equitable digital landscape for all.
